UX Maven: UX Research Methodology Companion
Why UX Maven Was Created
Choosing the right UX research method can be challenging. With a wide range of methods and tools available, it often feels like choosing from a 10-page restaurant menu—overwhelming, confusing, and frustrating. In the dynamic world of user experience at companies like Amazon, intuition alone doesn't cut it. Your choices need to be well-informed and precise. Daily, I receive numerous requests from PMs, UX Designers, and junior UX Researchers asking which research method best suits their specific problems and goals. After spending countless hours sifting through methodologies and deciding which ones best fit various project needs, I distilled all this knowledge into UX Maven.
Selecting the right research method involves not just time and effort, but also mental endurance. From battling decision fatigue to overcoming doubts like "Will this method uncover what I need?" or "I want results that resonate with stakeholders," UX Maven was developed to streamline this process, making the selection of research methodologies clear and straightforward, thereby saving time and enhancing decision-making for UX professionals.
